From Melbourne Australia, indie shoegazers Contrast are sharing with us today the video for The Cure, a track taken from their debut album Singularity which is set to be released this December.
The video was Directed by James Thomson and follows a young man sporting a NASA jacket, looking out of place and time as he walks around inner city Melbourne including Chinatown. The clio is an obvious nod to Lost in Translation–which of course features The Jesus and Mary Chain’s hit song Just Like Honey at that particular film’s conclusion—proving there is no shame in wearing your heart and your influences on your sleeve.
