Liz Fraser Reunites with On Tour With Massive Attack for Setlists that Also Include a Cover of The Cure’s 10:15 Saturday Night

Trip Hop legends Massive Attack in celebration of the 21st anniversary of their seminal album Mezzanine, have embarked on their tour with former Cocteau Twins vocalist Elizabeth Fraser, who re-emerged into the public eye after being elusive since her Meltdown performance in 2012.

During the opening nights of the tour in Manchester and Glasgow, Fraser joined  Massive Attack onstage for four songs, 3 of which are the Mezzanine tracks she is featured on which include, “Black Milk,” “Group Four,” “Teardrop.” Also included during the set was a cover of “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”

During both concerts which featured identical set lists, cover songs were included that were initially only samples on Mezzanine, such as The Cure’s “10.15 Saturday Night”, which is featured in the album’s version of reggae classic “The Man Next Door”.

The Massive Attack “Mezzanine XXI” tour continues throughout Europe in February, with a North American leg to begin in March; see full dates over here.

Below, check out video footage of Fraser performing in Glasgow and Manchester, and the unexpected Cure Cover.
