Lithuanian post-punk surrealist’s Solo Ansamblis have unveiled their Icarian Video for “Baloje”, a pulsing electronic music incantation in the group’s native tongue, that augments the bizarre visuals presentation that showcases an uncanny red latex pantomime performance where elfin characters mimick dolphins and various other creatures against a rustic gold backdrop.
Regarding the song “Baloje”, the Solo Ansamblis had this to say:
“Usually changes are possible after collapse of inner order. Improvements come after learning from mistakes. In our song ‘Baloje,’ we talk about reaching the bottom, but it is the only solid foundation from which we lean against and start building a new ‘me’.”
Director GoraParasit has stated that the video, a mix of live-action and animation, is based upon the myth of Icarus. (More of her work can be seen here)

“Baloje” is featured on Solo Ansamblis’s forthcoming new album Olos which comes out on February 21st via Artoffact Records.
