Listen to Leeds Post-Punk Quartet Klammer’s “You Have Been Processed” LP

Leeds post-punk quarter Klammer are streaming with us today their new LP You Have Been Processed LP, a fantastic collection of songs with an authentic oldschool sound from producer Steve Whitfield, who founded the band back in 2014 with a bunch of like minded musicians, after his extensive career in sound engineering—most notably with The Cure since 1992’s Wish.

The album You Have Been Processed, the band’s third full length, is almost like a rorschach’s test of musical allusion, with tracks such as “No Memory” sounding like Gang of Four, and the single “Spiral Girl”, among others (see Steve Dutton directed video below) sounding like The Damned.

Other tracks throughout the album, are highlighted with rhythmic bass lines, ominous guitar hooks, and crooning punk vocals standing toe to toe with that of New Model Army, and fellow Leeds brethren Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, but any similarities you may notice are far from derivative, and are more so a product of a place, time and culture that produced the best dark post-punk in the UK.

You Have Been Processed is out via Under Dogz Records on August 10th.

Order the album Here. See Tour Dates below.
