Listen to Caroline Blind’s Cover of Red Lorry Yellow Lorry’s “Heaven” Feat. Lorries Guitarist David Wolfenden

Former Sunshine blind frontwoman Caroline Blind asked herself this very question before recording her acoustic version of Rey Lorry Yellow Lorry’s 1989 track “Heaven”, where she teamed up with guitarist David Wolfenden of the classic post-punk band for a remake of one of his most memorable songs.

The pair also recruited Blind’s longtime collaborator Rich W., guitarist of The Wake, and Switchblade Symphony’s George Earth. “Heaven” is the third single off her upcoming album, The Spell Between, due out in February 2020.

“The chance to revisit the music you loved growing up is always a pleasure. It brings back all the memories you associate with a certain song; a certain time, a place, a person… it can be uplifting, devastating, or bittersweet. The experiences you’ve had with a song over the years grow and change like any relationship… New perspectives are seen, new memories formed, forming a bigger picture, and maybe eventually, even coming full circle.” – Caroline Blind

Listen to this beautiful new version of “Heaven” below:

The Spell Between is a gothic love letter to some songs that inspired Caroline throughout her career, combining covers, reworked Sunshine Blind tracks, and original new material. The record features collaborations by Rich W. of the Wake, Dave the Dramedy, David Wolfenden of Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Ashe Ruppe from Delphine Coma, and Gordon Young from Joy Thieves/Pretentious Moi/Children on Stun/ The Dream Disciples.

The album will be out on February 2020 on Motherofskye Creations.
