Korine – the Philadelphia-based duo of Morgy Ramone and Trey Frye – captured hearts with their 2018 LP New Arrangements with songs such as “Heaven’s Servant”. Their new track, “Uncrossed”, is the first of two singles to be released on their 7″ vinyl by Born Losers Records. With its melancholy, bright synths that are indicative of Korine’s sound, “Uncrossed” is a love song that retains the sadness and purity found in mid-80s era Depeche Mode or pop superstars such as Thompson Twins. If Korine isn’t your favorite band yet, this release might convince you. Catch them up and down the east coast this fall (dates below).
