In too many provincial places, being an outsider is like walking a tightrope. Folks watch, whisper, and judge, quick to point out your difference, slower to extend a hand. The courage it takes to stand apart, to be seen for who you truly are, is no small thing. It’s a quiet bravery—one that speaks not with loud gestures but with the steady resolve to remain true to yourself when every glance tells you to fall in line. But in these times, the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been. To be different now, to speak up for the voiceless or challenge the status quo, is to risk even more. It’s not just about reputation anymore; it’s about the future of our community, of our country. The bravery to stay firm in your convictions, to stand against the tide of conformity, could be what changes everything—or what costs everything.
Kansas City’s REVISER plunges headlong into the eerie with Darksiders, a pulse-quickening cry for those who embrace the outsider’s path. The song carves out its space with precision—goth-rock guitars, dark wave synths, and a rhythmic throb that sinks its hooks deep. It prowls in the places where REVISER thrives, channeling the spectral echoes of Sisters of Mercy, Alien Sex Fiend, and Killing Joke, while also stretching out into the current generation, standing toe to toe with contemporaries such as ACTORS, Twin Tribes, and Traitrs.
Darksiders rattles with a blend of traveled paths and parts unknown, summoning sounds from another era but twisting them into something sharp and new. The song slinks in, all atmosphere and electricity, its beats heavy with the weight of past lives and future fights. REVISER fuses their influences with deft hands, crafting a sound that is at once familiar and fiercely alive, all while daring you to dance with ghosts that don’t quite let go.
“It’s a song for empowering those who don’t abide by the expectations of traditional norms,” says the band. “It’s a soundtrack to this moment in history, in time and space, encouraging us to be the outsiders who guide the way with our independent, creative, and full hearts. Be an example. This moment needs you.”

In the dead of winter 2023, REVISER emerged from the eerie quiet of Kansas City’s forgotten corners, a collaborative force that dragged the past into sharp focus with renewed ferocity. Their songs pulse with the tension of power—internal battles and external forces—each note grappling with struggle. The project hums with the deep, resonant baritone of Krysztof Nemeth, his guitar and vocals shaped by the dark energy that once drove Emmaline Twist. Alongside him, Dedric Moore, hailing from Kansas City’s electro-dance outfit Monta, wields the second guitar with a rhythmic intensity.
Krysztof’s programming threads post-punk’s angular guitars with shoegaze’s shimmering crescendos, while the menacing hum of synths and the relentless stomp of drum machines add layers of urgency. Together, they create a sound that thrums with raw power and eerie allure—a collision of past and future, as the band marches through Kansas City’s ghostly landscape, each chord cutting through the haze, pushing toward a future both uncertain and irresistible.
REVISER will make an appearance with The March Violets on 3 November at Recordbar in Kansas City. Don’t miss it! Information is below in the flyer.
