June 2016 | Post-Punk Music Catchup | Track of the Month – Motorama’s ‘Holy Day’

[dropcap]There[/dropcap] were many good releases the month of June, and we have collected our favorite tracks and releases from the latest underground acts, as well are sharing Motorama’s fantastic video for Holy Day, which demonstrates and further expands upon the purposeful yet idyllic feel that the Russian post-punk band does so well, an anachronistic sound that is also timeless.

Highlights from the selection below are San Francisco’s  In Letter Form with “Edison’s Medicine”, Detroit’s Ritual Howls with “Scatter the Scars”, and Leed’s own Eagulls with sounding like Suede on a David Lynch soundtrack with “Velvet”, okay they are not exactly new, but if you have not listened to them already, get off your arse!

Also, be sure to check out VVand the Void with “Thorn”, and in you are in particularly gothy/synth mood, check out the collaboration between She Past Away and Selofan with “Alt Ego” off of Monosynth Vol II.
