[dropcap]Public[/dropcap] Image Ltd. will release their 10th studio album later this year. This follows frontman John Lydon publishing his second autobiography Anger Is An Energy last year.
Due out on September 4th, the new album titled ‘What The World Needs Now…’, is the followup to 2012’s ‘This is PiL’. The album was recorded at Spencer Davis Group member Steve Winwood’s Wincraft studio in the Cotswolds and was self-funded by the band themselves.
In promotion of the album, PiL will be dropping the single ‘Double Trouble’ on August 21, featured on 10-inch vinyl, and the disc will contain the B-side ‘Bettie Page’ and bonus track ‘Turkey Tits’.
