In your hands, my soul
Emerging from a landscape where artistic skills drift like tumbleweeds through a melancholic dimension, the Spanish duo Huir announces their arrival with an irresistible allure. Ana Of The Head and David Solazo, the Barcelona-based pair behind Huir, just unveiled “Vital,” the debut single from their upcoming EP, “Triumphal Arch Lovers.” Their music, a blend of metaphorical light and darkness, commands attention, drawing even the most stoic listeners into a rhythmic sway.
Huir’s musical style, as eclectic as a Catalan tapas spread, fuses various genres into a delectable and potent mix. Their forthcoming debut EP, released under the Cold Transmission Music label, feels akin to uncovering a rare jewel in an unexpected place, piquing our curiosity and rewarding us with delightful surprises. When the guitars yield, a melancholic melody emerges, reaching an emotional zenith as Ana’s voice takes the lead, her vocals charged with an electrifying angst, floating atop retro, danceable drum beats. Solazo’s deep basslines add a thunderous depth, while the keys and guitar contribute hauntingly beautiful layers to the soundscape.
The track “Vital” is a celebration of strength and independence, a call to resist temptations that may be harmful. It’s an anthem of living vibrantly, even through darker times, emphasizing vitality and self-awareness. The song is a reminder to savor each day, from sunrise to sunset, with a smile.

Huir’s debut single is a promising glimpse into their upcoming EP, masterfully produced, mixed, and mastered by Maurizio Baggio, known for his work with Boy Harsher and The Soft Moon, at La Distilleria in Bassano del Grappa, Italy.
The band’s music, daring and evocative of cinematic rebels, is presented through the discerning curation of the German label Cold Transmission Music.
Come December 2023, Huir will also join The Chameleons on tour in Madrid (Dec 3rd) and Barcelona (Dec 7th).
