From the glorious metropolis of Athens Greece, darkwave project Reflection Black announces a searing darkwave single, “No Stars In The Sky.” The song is taken from their upcoming full album Last Stop to Nowhere out on March 3rd via Swiss Dark Nights.
“No Stars In The Sky” is a gloomy composition with strong emotions; composer Elis Alex blends old-school goth rock influences with more modern post-punk lines and ideas, delivering a dark dancefloor hit with a sophisticated, alternative goth sound.
“The lyrical theme about the black forces of entropy shutting down the light of existence plays a huge role, says Alex, who adds that the more aggressive “anguished narrative” vocal approach to this song hints at the direction the band is taking. We hear shades of Depeche Mode, Midnight Oil, The The, and Clan of Xymox in this passionate track.
The gorgeously filmed monochromatic music video, directed by Jim Georgosopoulos, took place on a stormy, after-midnight shooting. It has the look of a German Expressionist silent film, with powerful imagery interspersed throughout. The fortuitous timing of the filming “complemented its dark atmosphere even more,” says Alex.

“Last Stop To Nowhere” will be the debut full-length album from Reflection Black.
“I can say that I have made an album that I am truly happy with,” muses Alex. “One record, eight tracks, each one different from each other but still forming a very consistent big picture without any fillers.”
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in 2022 in Pentagram Studio with George Emmanuel (Lucifer’s Child, ex-Rotting Christ) while the vocals were recorded in Red Panda Studio with Sokratis Bebis.
