Schlager Infused Synth-wave Artist Luis Ake Debuts the Video for his Icy Track “Bitte Lass Mich Frei”

Stuttgart’s Luis Ake pays homage to Neue Deutsche Welle through his groovy synth-wave infused track “Bitte Lass Mich Frei” and it’s accompanying video that sees the German singer crooning in a surreal red subway car, pleading for his broken heart.

The song itself has an icy retro feel to it, coupled with the Ake’s tenor like vocal range that brings forth all the desperation of George Michael’s iconic single “Careless Whispers” by Wham!, yet contemporary and modern for any modern Goth, or Berghain club-kid.

“I’m only making music when I’m sad“, Ake says “I put the sorrow in the music and preserve it this way“.

And as the album, cold as the winter in which it was recorded, is aptly described in its press release: “Who needs heating when your heart is broken, shattered even?”

“Bitte Lass Mich Frei” is out on November 29th, 2019 through Mansions and Millions via Digital and Cassette Tape.
