German Post-Punk Project Billy Zach Debuts Video for “No Progression”

German post-punk project Billy Zach has announced the release of a brand new single, the raucous “No Progression,” from the upcoming second album “A Momentary Bliss.

No Progression captures the chaotic, merciless whirl of competitive modern society; precious Zen moments that dwell in the midst of despair, sadness, hope, anger, and excess. Taking a cue from The Birthday Party, Fontaines DC, Murder Capital, Die Nerven, and The Damned, Zach’s acerbic punk snarls and fierce guitar ebb and flow in a maelstrom of melancholy and longing.

The song drags you down into the swampy abyss of the urban underbelly with its hypnotic bass lines; a gaping wormhole between idealism and perpetual inner turmoil. Max Zacherl narrates the scene with the shuddering calm of an experienced storyteller. This is the tale of humanity, for better or worse.

Watch the video below:

The album was produced by Hamburg-based indie label La Pochette Surprise Records. A Momentary Bliss will be out on January 27th, 2023, on limited edition vinyl. Pre-order here.

Billy Zach is also planning a tour this upcoming March. Stay tuned.
