German post-punk band XTR HUMAN have taken a break from touring to record and release their latest EP Reflections, which is the band’s first new material since the release of their 2015 EP “In Circles”.
After such a long period on the road playing concerts and festivals, band leader Johannes Stabel hit the brakes and finally took the necessary time-out in order to write new songs, of which “Disturbia” is premiering with us today along with its accompanying video.
“Disturbia” is paved with a rhythmic bassline that drives the obscured vocals skyward towards an optimistic melody bursting through a sonic landscape woven with twangy guitars awash in blissful effects.
This foray into the realms of Creation Records styled shoegaze is a fitting evolution in sound, that is well represented on the solid 5 tracks featured on Reflections, whose warm psychedelic reverie will certainly get you trapped in it’s mirror.
