German post-punk band XTR HUMAN shine bright on their title track from and their latest EP Reflections, a shimmering piece of irresidcent dream-pop with a cinematic flair you could build a 80’s movie around with its earnest sincerity.
With a new direction, or a new outlook, frontman Johannes Stabel has channelled unbridled optimism in “Reflections”, highlighting the interplay between light and shadow on a complex collection of 5 tracks, that closes out brilliantly with a finale that sounds like a synesthetic shoegaze sunrise viewed from underwater—truly drowned in sound.
