The Berlin-based Fringe Society (one-half of Russian Chandeliers) is a blend of several genres. From disco and new beat to minimal synth and movie score, the producer’s newest track on the Samo Records VA is a concoction of these. The groovy tempo coincides with a guitar solo and Balearic synth lines, making it a great addition to a Ancienne Belgique-inspired playlist.
Samo Records, based out of New York City, is known for their off-kilter dance tracks. Out on digital October 18th and limited CD September 20th, the Various Artists – Sphere compilation features a slew of artists from all over the world. Label owner Boris Knez says:
Samo Records decided to do a compilation for their next release, they asked some of their favorites artists to provide an original track. The outcome has been as intended, a good mix of styles, each providing their own individual blend.
