Et certains jours me désespère
Quand la mort s’achète en espèce
Pour le passeur laisser deux verres
Remplis d’alcool sur mes paupières
French darkwave outfit Order 89 is roaring back with the high-energy dance anthem Vertige (Vertigo), the second video off their second album, L’Eté des Corbeaux (Summer of the Crows). Vertige is a frenetic, lurching song, distilling dark poetry with a mischievous post-punk electro rhythm. This single follows on the clicking heels of April 2021’s Gangster.
The video, directed by Navire Argo, explores the concept of vertigo with a dazzling psychedelic kaleidoscope of a performance video, disorienting the viewer and yanking the bass-driven track into a smorgasbord of pure cosmic expansion.
Order 89 draws their energy from “love and violence.” The band is planning a tour throughout France in mid-July of this year, already stacking Paris, Rennes, and Nantes on their plates. “We are looking for more gigs in Europe and are ready for that,” the band eagerly adds.
