In the pulsing heart of Tallinn, Estonia’s music scene, Kadri Sammel stands out as the dynamic force behind Bedless Bones. This singer-songwriter, producer, and versatile instrumentalist, not to mention an interdisciplinary artist, positions herself as a conjurer of nocturnal reveries. With a deft touch, she fuses the dark allure of electro-noir genres like darkwave and EBM, and deftly pairs them with pulsating techno rhythms, industrial cadences, and ethereal sound dimensions.
The first taste from her recent album is a single titled “Dead Woman.” Accompanied by a visually compelling, almost hypnotic video co-directed by Sammel and Anders Melts, the simple film, channeling the imagery of Ingmar Bergman, depicts an evocative veiled figure dancing in the twilight against a vast landscape, a fitting illustration of the haunting song’s potent spell.

Mire Of Mercury follows hot on the heels of the extended reissue of Bedless Bones’ 2019 debut, Sublime Malaise, which marked her signing to Metropolis Records in the summer of 2023.
The album will be available on CD and through all digital streaming platforms from Metropolis Records on November 3rd, 2023.
