Detroit-based deathgaze duo Vazum have unveiled their video for “Poison”, a track featured on their forthcoming fourth studio album Vampyre Villa.
Vampyre Villa, was recorded exclusively in Vazum’s home studio. There in their isolation, the band fine-tuned and finished the record during the beginning of the 2020 quarantine. The new album sees the lineup increased to a trio, with the enlisting of vocalist/bassist Emily Sturm to the roster.
Sturm has helped shape sonically and expand the sound of the new record, while also adding to the dark aesthetics of the band ultimately create an uncompromised and unique offering.

Vazum was formed in 2017 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Zach Pliska. The project’s past work includes three albums released 2018-2019. Recorded and mixed by Zach Pliska himself, Vampyre Villa is the most fully envisioned album from the band, combining classic gothic and deathrock roots with the depth of shoegaze.
