Depeche Mode announce new album “Spirit” due out this spring | World Tour Announced

[dropcap]The[/dropcap] rumors were true! Depeche Mode are releasing their 14th studio album— due out in Spring 2017. Martin, Dave, and Andy will also be embarking on a 2017 world tour titled Global Spirit. Full dates forthcoming.

The album was Recorded in Santa Barbera and New York, produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. with the use of modular synth gear. The new album was announced after a clock counted down the days, minutes, and seconds until their 1pm CST at their Milan press conference on October 1tth, 2016.

“Following the European tour dates in Summer 2017, the Global Spirit Tour will continue with shows in North and South America.

The Global Spirit Tour will support the band’s forthcoming studio album Spirit, due to be released in Spring 2017. Spirit is being produced by James Ford and will be released worldwide on Columbia Records.

On the Global Spirit Tour the band will continue their charity partnership with Swiss watch maker Hublot, raising money and awareness for Charity: Water toward their mission of providing safe drinking water to everyone in the world.”
