Deathrock Provocateurs VR Sex Demand Justice With “Minor Case”

NARRATOR: “No one is exempt from the world wide web of destruction.  A once-innocent digital playground has turned into a panopticon for pedophiles and predators – waiting, watching, baiting, and stalking.  2020 proved to be the tipping point in exposing these bloodsuckers within the world of music and art.”

VR Sex lashes out powerfully with the sinister Cyber Crimes, a new EP caustically devoid of satire or sarcasm. A sobering scene report for the current state of affairs, the album champions the victims as the lyrics rip apart injustice.

The blistering Minor Case, out today, sounds like a long-lost Damned production run through the wash with Killing Joke and a couple of Pixies – chastising the sleazy intentions of a pedophile. Minor Case is a swirling mass of topical sociopolitical commentary, snarling judgment, and fiery vocal delivery. Its bristling rage comes through in the relentless chants of the chorus, peppered with manic drums.

Listen to “Minor Case” below:

VR SEX are audio/visual provocateurs who transpose the identifiers of deathrock, synth punk, post-punk, ambient, and ethereal soundscapes into an audit on technology and its imprint on our collective psyche. Comprised of Noel Skum (Andrew Clinco of Drab Majesty), Z. Oro (Aaron Montaigne of Antioch Arrow/Heroin/DBC) on vocals and drums, on synths and electric bass, they are a powerful combination of undistilled goth rock. Their debut, Human Traffic Jam, explored the loss of autonomy through social media, the decline of human interaction, and celebritocracy.

Cyber Crimes is out on the 30th of April 2021. You can pre0rder the album here and here.
