Bay Area darkwave punks Provoker have unleashed the video for their new single “Since Then”.
The band. with its unique take on post-punk and darkwave. is currently making its mark in the Los Angeles underground scene, is led by the core-writing duo of multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Lopez and vocalist Christian Petty (featuring live members Kristian Moreno and Wilfredo Palacios, on percussion and bass).
The group’s new single “Since Then” marries those infectious post-punk bass lines with grooves normally found in the work of Prince, altogether creating a tenebrous dance space with it”s flanged guitars and smooth rhythms.
The video, directed by the band and their longtime roommate is, according to Petty:
“an ode to the past, and about keeping good memories alive and letting the bad ones die.”
