Berlin Darkwave duo NNHMN has delivered a stunning scenic and strobed audio-visual exploration of the darkness of borderline personality disorder and the hardship in expressing love in their video for “Special”.
The song is fraught with palpable tension with its icy synth beats and unnerving vocals leading into an almost rhythmic and trance-like fugue.
The video for “Special” was created entirely by the band—from styling to shooting through the editing montage and color grading.
The main character in the video is based on Nico in Philippe Garrel movie La Cicatrice intérieure from 1970-1972.

NNHMN aka Non-Human, the duo of Lee & Laudarg, issued their second studio album Church of No Religion earlier this year. A nocturnal delivery of darkwave, minimal wave, industrial and even tinges of goth, the record was steamy and sensual as much as it was haunting.
Without wasting any time the pair return with a new EP pack titled ‘‘Shadow in the dark” soon to be released on December 4th, 2019.
