Dark Synthpop Project CARV.R Debuts “Deflect” Featuring Mari Kattman

CARV.R, the innovative dark synthpop project from producer Cristian Carver, announces their latest single, “Deflect.

In a daring synthesis of sound, CARV.R melds the pulsating energy of electronic bass music with the shadowy allure of dark pop and hyper-pop-inspired landscapes. Their mission: to forge a harmonious union between the radiant hues of kaleidoscopic keyboards and the hypnotic intensity of dance-inducing bass lines. This visionary endeavor continually expands its horizons, enlisting vocalists from an eclectic spectrum of genres, spawning a dynamic procession of releases since the project’s genesis in 2020.

Emanating from the celestial orchestra of the heavens, “Deflect” emerges as a bold foray into uncharted territory, weaving a haunting tapestry of otherworldly arp-style leads and steadfast mid-tempo bass lines. This deeply personal track, as Carver articulates, serves to solidify and celebrate their radiant presence in the boundless expanse of the electronic music universe.

Mastered by Adam Schneider, the haunting yet energetic track features the mesmerizing vocals of Mari Kattman (COP International, Helix).

“When I wrote the instrumental for ‘Deflect,’ I knew that Mari was the perfect person for the track,” Carver says. “Her vocals sit perfectly with the music, and her lyrics bring the original idea of the song to life. The track was inspired by people who shirked responsibility for their actions and instead played the victim, which is a frustrating and disappointing experience that I’m sure many have gone through.”

Following the release of “Deflect” on May 5th, a remix of the track is scheduled for release on Friday, May 19th, by the prolific producer ALEX.

“Deflect” is available now on all major platforms. Listen here
