Los Angeles based dark synth-pop outfit, Riki, helmed by the formidable Niff Nawor, is making a majestic debut with the lead single “Napoleon”, from the project’s self-titled debut due out via Dais Records next Valentines Day.
Niff has her background in the Bay Area deathrock / anarcho-punk scenes, being formerly a keyboardist and backing vocalist of Crimson Scarlet. Her solo outing as Riki began in 2017 with the recording of the batcavey synth-pop cassette tape, Hot City, which featured Chelsey Crowley of Crimson Scarlet, Skot Brown of Phantom Limbs and Peđa of Doomed to Extinction.
Released on Commodity Tapes and later reissued on vinyl by the well-regarded Symphony of Destruction label, Riki followed the release of the single with several small tours and festival dates, performing with such acts as Light Asylum, Black Marble, and Trisomie 21.
The lead single on her forthcoming debut, “Napoleon”, is infused with the authentic sound of Danceteria meets Neu Deutsch Welle, and distills the spirit of 1987-1988 Italo Disco inspired electro-pop not only in sound but also vision.

Riki’s self-titled debut, produced and engineered by hardware-based synthesist Matia Simovich of INHALT, is out February 14th via Dais Records.
