“Fight, it’s not a crime
To search for a better life”
From the shadowy depths of Parisian dancefloors return dark synth duo Minuit Machine, who have announced their “Don’t Run From The Fire” REMIX EP.
The band, comprised of Hélène and Amandine, summon atmospheric electronic music sounds that they christen as “Disrupted Wave”, a melange of aural textures and club-driven beats that through sonic catharsis exorcise a dynamic range of intense emotions such as rage, passion, and angst, all while capturing the essence of underground music spanning the 1980s until the early 90s.
For their remix edition of their 2020 EP, Don’t Run From the Fire, Amandine and Hélène have enlisted Maud Geffray, REIN, Crystal Geometry, and Parallx to give their new interpretations of the songs on the record.
The title track “Don’t Run From The Fire” is remixed twice on the EP, with the first reworking of the track produced by Maud Geffray, and the second by Rein, the Stockholm-based electronic project by musician and producer Joanna Reinikainen (REIN RECORDINGS).
In particular, the new version of the track by REIN is a triumphant combination of Minuit Machine’s dark, electro, hybrid sound and Swedish artist’s powerful rhythms, and captivating synth bass. The resulting sonic assault is a techno/EBM hit, and a perfect weapon to brandish on the dancefloors.
