Zürich based post-punk act Thymian, the solo project of artist Josip Tijan, made waves this past summer with the preview of the track “Modern Fantasy”, and a convincing fan released video for the song “Provider”.
Also on the same self-titled four track EP as “Provider” and “Modern Fantasy” is the magnificent “Composure”—a song whose driving bassline and staccato synths allude to the sweeping synth-laden rhythms and resonate guitars of bands like Motorama, Joy Division, and The Wake, but with rich baritone vocals that sound like a fusion of And Also The Trees Simon Jones mixed with Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan.

The 4-track EP Thymian EP was self recorded and produced in a cozy bedroom in Zurich, Switzerland, and is out on December 15, 2019 in limited editions of 100 each 10″ white or green vinyl through Wave Records.
