The legendary Industrial/Neue Deutsch Welle project of R.Goerl and G.Delgado Lopez, Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft, or DAF for short—best known for their song “Der Mussolini” from the album Alles ist gut, has announced it’s dissolution today via Facebook.
R.Goerl and G.Delgado Lopez have on 1/22/2015 agreed to end their long-standing band project DAF (Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft) In addition, R.Goerl and G.Delgado Lopez have agreed, for a “Goodbye Tour” (Start 05/30/2015 in Moscow) to go again on stage together to say goodbye to their DAF fans.
This farewell tour follows their appearance at the Grauzone Festival in Amsterdam next week. The band have also indicated that they are discussing a “farewell” product to commemorate the band’s history.
We will be posting the full dates of DAF’s final tour when they are available. In the meantime—check out the classic DAF performance from 1982 at the famous Metropol in Berlin (above).
