Copenhagen’s Shiny Darkly are premiering with us today their Frederik Valentin directed video for “WW”, featured on their upcoming sophomore album Bronze, which is self recorded and produced by the band, and co-produced by Nis Bysted and Jens Benz of Iceage.
The video highlights the band’s stoic faces during the golden hour before dusk (or after dawn?) in a suburban landscape interspersed with images of the waves at the shore line. This setting is underscored by the rhythmically diverse track that features syncopated cymbal signatures, percussion, oriental piano, xylophone, and flute.
“WW” is the third song released so far from Bronze, following “The Lake Mirrors It All”, and “Instructor And Crowd”. It is also the first song written for the album, being incorporated into Shiny Darkly’s live sets over the past several years, dynamically evolving into the lush track it is today.
“Bronze” is slated for release this September via Third Coming Records (fr) and Crunchy Frog (dk).
Shiny Darkly will also be supporting fellow Danes Iceage on several shows this coming September.
