Brooklyn Shoegazers Dead Leaf Echo Premiere their video for “Temple”

Brooklyn’s Dead Leaf Echo have recently premiered the video for “Temple”, an abrasively lulling shoegaze track culled from their second LP, Beyond Desire, which came out via Papercup Music last October.

The on the video’s production the band explains:

“The video was shot all on vintage 8mm film cameras by Philadelphia based filmmaker Bob Sweeney and then edited by LG Galleon. It takes the band thru Downtown Manhattan, Queens, and all parts of Brooklyn ending at the beach on Ft. Tilden on the hottest day of last summer.”

Beyond Desire was recorded at Mexican Summer’s Gary’s Electric studio in Greenpoint, featuring a sound that warrants the team of creatives involved with the album that include legendary My Bloody Valentine engineer Guy Fixsen (MBVWIRE) and Jorge Elbreht (Ariel Pink, No Joy, Frankie Rose, Violens, Lansing-Drieden) and artwork from Timothy O’Donnell (designer from 4AD).

Dead Leaf Echo will be embarking on a European tour this May, featuring an appearance at Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig.
