Brian Eno and My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields collaborate on new track ‘Only Once Away My Son’

Roxy Music alum and ambient music guru Brian Eno has collaborated with My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields on new ambient drone track called Only Once Away My Son. The song is available via Adult Swim’s  Singles Program, and you can listen to it below:

Eno is no stranger to shoegaze collaborations, as he is featured on Slowdive’s 1995 album Souvlaki, providing keyboards and treatments on that albums tracks Sing and Here She Comes.

Meanwhile Kevin Shields has announced that he is planning the release of new material from My Bloody Valentine next year. The news was revealed through Shields’ announcement of his performing at Sigur Rós’ Norður og Niður Holiday Arts Festival in Iceland this December, where according to his bio on the fest’s site, it states he is  “working on material for a new My Bloody Valentine album to be released in 2018.”
