Blancmange premieres ‘Gratitude’ from new album ‘Unfurnished Rooms’

Legendary New-wave and Synthpop act Blancmange is releasing its 9th studio album Unfurnished Rooms on September 29th. The Neil Arthur helmed project’s new LP was produced by his bandmate in Fader—’analog synth wizard’ Benge—and mixed and recorded by the pair at Memetune Studios in Cornwall.

Ahead of the release of Unfurnished Rooms—Blancmange are premiering the funky analog-synth composition Gratitude, a song which is brilliant cohesion of chaotic elements unified by by Arthur’s searing, aggressive, and soulful vocals with the excellent guitar work of David Rhodes—who is known for his work with Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Talk Talk, and Scott Walker.

Unfurnished Rooms follows reissues of the first three Blancmange records as deluxe 3CD editions earlier this year—as well as 2011’s Blanc Burn, and several new albums after the departure of founding member Stephen Luscombe due to illness (2015’s Semi Detached and Nil By Mouth, and 2016’s Commuter 23).
