Best Post-Punk Records of 1978-79 | Singles

It’s 2015, and we are starting off the new year with our first poll—We want to know your favorite records!

The Best Post-Punk Records of 1978-79 | Singles

So…let the contentious Rob Gordon-esque debates begin!

In addition to this poll, we will continue each month of the year to present you with two polls representing both the best singles, and best albums of each year until 1989.  Since the first Post-Punk singles were not released until about halfway through to late 1978, we have combined the first 2 years into one poll (both for albums and singles each—respectively).

VOTING: We have compiled an extensive list of over 50 singles for this first poll.  In order to participate—just select your favorite 10 singles, and they will be ordered according to votes (so no fretting over which of your children you love the most, just choose the 10 you think are most important to you). You can even write-in a selection if you feel we are missing something (But before you do—ask yourself if you would DJ the track along with the other songs during a set…and yes—we all know you spin Bela Lugosi’s Dead when you need to run to the toilet…!)

DEADLINE: Voting will be open through 6 p.m. EDT Friday, Jan. 30, and results will be posted the first week of February.

*One of them is an EP, can you spot it?

What song do you think will get the most votes?  The least?  Or what do you think is too obscure?  Let us know in the comments below!
