Berlin’s XTR Human to Release Hard-hitting Industrial-EBM “Shrank” Remix Album

In a world galloping forward on the steely wheels of technology, where shifting social tides leave old values gasping for relevance, the need to shatter stale norms grows fierce. Berlin’s XTR HUMAN doesn’t whisper for change; it punches through Brutalist walls, unleashing a primal scream that reverberates like a thunderclap in a quiet room. It’s rebellion measured and deliberate, a push to topple the tired status quo.

XTR HUMAN has carved out a fervent foothold in Berlin’s underground, a scene teeming with life and throbbing with restless energy. Over the past decade, in spaces that span from bat-haunted basements to warehouse raves echoing with raw reverberations, Johannes Stabel has meticulously mined the most potent ingredients from the city’s sonic stew. Coldwave’s icy grip, EBM’s relentless pulse, and post-punk’s jagged edges collide under his command, each sound distilled to its fiercest form.

Stabel commands attention, belting raw, potent lines in his native German on Schrank. His voice and basslines pulse with ferocity, merging EBM’s hard-edged intensity with coldwave’s haunting undertones. This record is a call to arms, a fierce nudge to tap into untapped power, confront ingrained biases, and chase ambition unyieldingly.

Now come the remixes: MVTANT, Buzz Kull, Sleek Teeth, Blood Handsome, and others reconstruct Schrank Remixes into a darker, more unforgiving machine. Each artist sculpts the tracks anew, intensifying the harsh beats and drenching them in heavier, more driving gothic and techno energy. The result? An album reborn, thrumming with relentless energy, dragging its essence into uncharted and electrifying terrain. It demands movement, shakes listeners to action, and dares them to reflect deeply.

Schrank Remixes shakes complacency to sound the anthem of a world that refuses to sit still. XTR HUMAN’s work isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s the pulse of a planet alive with history and brimming with rebellion, a siren call to those lost and longing, ready to burst through walls of pretense and make a mark.

Schrank Remixes will be released by WIE EIN GOTT Records on November 15, 2024. You can listen to a few of the tracks right now at the link below or pre-order here.
