Following their release their first EP Endless Party, their first European tour—and winning Belgium’s most prestigious music competition Humo’s Rock Rally—Belgian Post-Punk band Whispering Sons are premiering today their latest track Performance.
The track is the a-side to the two-track release Performance/Strange Identities—a record that sees the quintet entrenched in a sound that to our ears is reminiscent of the 1980’s Post-Punk of the Gothic Rock —showcased in bands such as Of A Mesh or The Naked and the Dead. Singer Fenne Kuppens’ stark and warm vocals pulse with percussive energy—which is complemented by icy guitar hooks that are more than welcome in an age of synthetic music.
