The Beast in You stalks through a world frayed at the edges, a track steeped in resilience, where strength isn’t found in escape but in the furnace of confrontation. Poison lingers, old wounds tear open, the past bites at the heels, yet there is no retreat. Sam’s hypnotic baritone looms over a foundation of relentless percussion and analog synthwork, each note meticulously assembled by Gaelle with machine-like precision. Basslines throb like an iron heartbeat, while industrial beats slam and surge, each measure wired for both catharsis and motion. With The Beast in You, ULTRA SUNN continue their relentless evolution, further refining their distinct strain of coldwave and EBM. Their past collaborations, spanning Kontravoid, Kris Baha, Curses, and Sarin, have already hinted at their ability to shape-shift within the darker edges of electronic music. Since Keep Your Eyes Peeled first stormed through the underground in 2020, Brussels-based duo Sam (vocals) and Gaelle (synths, drum machines) have stretched the sinew of classic EBM, infusing it with a sharp-edged modernity. Rooted in the steel pulse of the Sound of Belgium yet sculpted for the present, their music channels both rhythm and resistance—built to move the body, built to rewire the mind.
