Dans la nuit, je dérive
Sur des vagues furtives
Aveuglée par les lumières
Dans cette cité lunaire
The enigmatic SIIE emerged from the depths of 2021, a Swiss-German project fusing darkwave, techno, and EBM into a sound both raw and hypnotic. French lyrics snake through their compositions, tracing themes of dystopia, desire, and the mechanical rhythm of existence. Their music hums with the electricity of city streets at dusk, where neon flickers against concrete, and the future feels both ominous and irresistible.
Anonymity fuels their vision; they let the music speak, unburdened by identity. Their stories unfold like lost cinema—grainy, surreal, brimming with mystery. They conjure a world that exists between memory and dream, between chaos and control.
Their latest single, Cité Lunaire, pulses with a fevered urgency, a collision of EBM and synthpop that blurs the line between waking and dreaming, between escape and surrender. Spoken-word poetry, reminiscent of the intense delivery of Anne Clark and Fade to Grey-era Visage, drifts atop a dark disco undercurrent, relentless and hypnotic. Cold, metallic synths slice through the air; drums pound with the weight of restless longing. The lyrics ache for departure, for release from the heavy chains of existence, reaching toward a parallel world where identity dissolves and desire reigns. One spirit ascends; another crumbles into preordained decline.
The self-directed video unfurls like a nocturnal odyssey—a lone figure, enigmatic and unknowable, moves through the city’s underbelly. A woman on a bus, an escalator, empty streets stretching endlessly before her. Where is she going? No answers, only motion, only the quiet hum of neon, the rhythm of footsteps swallowed by the night.
