Bauhaus Cancels Remainder of North American Tour

With deep regret, Bauhaus has announced that they have canceled the remainder of their North American tour this year.

The band announced this morning that Peter Murphy would enter rehab to “attend to his health and well-being,” after a string of critically-acclaimed performances. Bauhaus had been gaining loads of praise for their recent string of ferocious live shows – most notably a visceral blood moon eclipse howl at Cruel World Festival. The band even released their first song in 14 years, “Drink the New Wine.”

This is not the first time Bauhaus has had to cancel shows this year, and in 2019, Murphy suffered a massive heart attack during his residency at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City; his health has been in flux since. Unfortunately, it seems the hectic pace of touring is catching up with Murphy, and we sincerely hope for a full recovery.
