Resplandor (NL)

Resplandor, a band with roots in the indie/shoegaze scene, has a long-standing history in the music world. Hailing from the Netherlands, their latest albums ‘Pleamar’ and ‘Tristeza’ have been produced and mixed by the legendary Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins fame, and mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive.

Having shared stages with iconic bands such as The Cure, Slowdive, The Jesus & Mary Chain, The House of Love, and The Radio Dept., Resplandor has graced stages at some of the most prestigious music festivals in the world, including Grauzone (The Hague, NL), SXSW (Austin, USA), Culture Collide (Los Angeles, USA), and Veltrac Music Festival (Lima, PE), touring extensively throughout Europe, North and South America.

Their latest album, ‘Tristeza‘, has been met with critical acclaim and has been included in several lists around the world as one of the best albums of 2022. Resplandor’s ethereal soundscapes and poignant lyrics are a testament to their artistry and dedication to their craft.

Catch The Breeze (DK)

Catch The Breeze released their second album, Into the Wide, last August. A surge of sound from the Danish outfit gives way to a musical landscape of great diversity, where massive and noisy compositions blend with captivating melodies and spheric passages. Catch The Breeze place their music originally between dream pop, shoegaze and art rock.

To capture the band’s musical synergy is the greater part of Into the Wide recorded live at Tapetown Studios, Aarhus, while the intense and charismatic vocal was recorded at Heyman Studios, Copenhagen. The music is beautifully accompanied by guest musicians Kasper Staub, synth (Lowly) and Camilla Florentz, vocals (ONBC). Everything has been expertly mixed by Christian Alex Petersen, Grapehouse Studios (MEW, Marching Church, Liss and others).

Meadowlake (NL)

In the land of windmills and tulips hails Meadowlake, a dream pop band that has taken the Netherlands by storm. Formed from a tight-knit circle of friends with a shared passion for music, their sound is a potent blend of evocative melodies and lush instrumental textures that envelop the listener in a warm embrace of guitar and reverb.

With their eponymous debut album released to universal acclaim in 2018, Meadowlake quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting shoegaze bands on the scene. The band’s second album, ‘Wait For Me‘, dropped in the summer of 2020 to rapturous applause. A particular fan favourite is the hauntingly beautiful ‘Blood Crawls’, which showcases the band’s talent for crafting emotive and powerful music.

Currently, Meadowlake is hard at work on their third album, exploring a new, stripped-down sound as a three-piece. Inspired by the likes of Low, Daughter, and Big Thief, they are pushing the boundaries of their genre and looking to evolve their signature sound.

Turquoise (BE)

Drawing inspiration from the timeless sounds of The Durutti Column and Cocteau Twins, the members of Turquoise have woven a tapestry of nostalgia that lingers in the collective consciousness. The band’s name is a nod to the hazy, blue-tinted memories of a bygone era, a time of VHS tapes and dreamy romance.

Turquoise’s sound is a heady mix of post-punk, dream pop, and shoegaze, suffused with the melancholic energy of introspection. Analogue synthesizers and reverb-drenched guitars intermingle in a sonic landscape that is both haunting and beautiful. The band’s French lyrics add a further layer of emotion, transporting the listener to a world of bittersweet longing and wistful reminiscence.
