Astari Nite are premiering today their video for the first single off their upcoming EP Dreams of Majesty, the aptly titled Lovesick. The EP is due this summer on Cleopatra Records in the US, and Danse Macabre Records in Europe.
The video, directed by Charlie Tonelli, while the song evokes the melodic Post-Punk and Gothic Rock of the late 80s and early 90s.
Regarding the song’s theme and lyrics, singer Mychael Ghost explains:
“Lovesick is about rejoicing in the memory of those who have passed on in our lives, whether it is someone we know and or admire. I’d like to think of it as a eulogy or an anthem for saying goodbye.”
