An Interview with Holygram and Bonus Interview with VNV Nation

Following their epic world tour with VNV Nation, German post-punk stalwarts Holygram have just begun their headlining European tour in continued support of their debut LP Modern Cults.

Yesterday, the band revealed their video for the shoegaze infused track “She’s Like The Sun”, their latest single off of their critically acclaimed  album, which featured a video tour diary of the band’s travels throughout the United States.

Before the band embarked on their North American leg of their tour, however, we caught up with them backstage during a sold out show at Columbia Halle in Berlin, and interviewed singer Patrick Blümel.

Watch the interview below:

After the interview, we also sat down with VNV Nation’s Ronan Harris, and to out surprise, he spent nearly a half hour talking about the post-punk and goths scenes during the 80s, going on to express his love for our site.

Regarding the video for “She’s Like The Sun”, which showcases cities visited on tour with VNV Nation, Holygram explain:

“The video for „She’s Like The Sun“ is a recap of our North America tour from last year wrapped in a Karaoke video. The song is the perfect soundtrack for this quite personal trip through the US and Canada: melancholic but still uplifting. We are pretty excited to be back on the road now!”

Watch the video below:

“She’s Like The Sun” is taken from HOLYGRAM’s album Modern Cults, out now on Oblivion/SPV and Cleopatra Records.
