Adam Stilson Releases Video for Icy and Melodic Synth Track “Breathe On Time”

In the realm of music production, there exists a select few whose touch can transform mere synth melodies into unforgettable experiences, quite like Adam Stilson can. Known for his work with Solemn Youth, New Canyons, and Vidrio Echo, Stilson is undoubtedly ranked among some of the best talents in the underground music scene. With a career spanning collaborations with luminaries of the darkwave and post-punk such as Pixel Grip, HIDE, and Ritual Howls, Stilson’s portfolio exudes versatility and unwavering dedication.

Among his latest endeavors is the long-awaited single release of Breathe On Time, a hauntingly beautiful track off the album never then. This song, a passion project simmering on the back burner since 2013 due to scheduling conflicts, marks a significant milestone in Stilson’s repertoire. Accompanied by a visually striking visualizer, Breathe On Time serves as a compelling introduction to the landscape of never then, promising something special for fans old and new alike.

Breathe On Time beckons listeners into a tranquil oasis with its staccato rhythm and icy and ethereal, soft vocals. The song’s gentle cadence guides listeners to surrender to its soothing embrace. Amidst the dreamy atmosphere, there’s a palpable rush of euphoria that washes over the senses, like a cool gentle breeze on a warm summer’s day. Each note resonates with a sense of calm, enveloping the listener in a meditative state of bliss. It’s a musical sanctuary where time seems to stand still, allowing for moments of introspection and reflection through its delicate balance of melody and emotion.

For those tuned into the scene, the entrancing 80s-styled graphics of the visualizer conjure up a rush of nostalgia for the dawn of new technology, the imposing structures of Brutalist architecture, and the fresh scent of a brand-new Trapper Keeper.
