Actor Bill Paxton has passed away | Watch videos from his new wave act Martini Ranch

Game over man! We have just lost Bill Paxton, the show stealing actor from iconic 80s films such as Weird Science and Aliens, Near Dark, and a brief appearance in The Terminator. Paxton would go on to star in the 90’s blockbusters Twister and Apollo 13, with an integral appearance in Titanic. The 61-year-old father of 2 died Saturday due to complications from surgery, his family announced today.

Paxton also made an appearance (alongside Rae Dawn Chong) in New Order’s video for “Touched By the Hand of God,”  which was directed by Kathryn Bigelow, who was James Cameron’s wife at the time. Footage from this video was also used in the infamous New Order Sunkist Ad.

Paxton was also one half of 80s new wave act Martini Ranch—formed in 1984, releasing two EPs and an album between 1986 and 1988.

Below, watch the “How Can the Labouring Man Find Time for Self-Culture?”, which was was produced by DEVO’s Bob Casale—also featuring fellow DEVO members Alan Myers on drums and Mark Mothersbaugh on keyboards.  Additionally there are cameos by Anthony Michael Hall, Rick Rossovich and Judge Reinhold. Also check out the James Cameron directed clip for “Reach.”
