[dropcap]Paris[/dropcap] is undoubtedly the city of love—but Paris is also a city with a great love of Music. In the face of oppression, and in the face of tyranny the French have been known to create art. They create music that is louder than the sound of terror. Music becomes a reverie for freedom and hope—and celebration of life.
In this Love Letter to Paris mix we have collected some of our favorite French artists. Admittedly there is so much amazing French Music that one collection can never quite do it justice, but we can atleast try, starting with the goddess Edit Piaf and roll through the pioneers and champions of electro punk, deathrock, post-punk, wave, electro, dance punk, fetish, cold wave, minimal and synth wave, mutant wave, experimental and queer beats. Viva La France!!!!
