The Soft Moon has released the second video from his upcoming fourth studio album ‘Criminal’, out February 2nd, 2018 via Sacred Bones.
The latest track “It Kills” happens to be our favorite on the new record, being one of the most Gothic Rock works to be composed by maestro Luis Vasquez, who made the atmospheric guitar driven track resemble a sonic thunderstorm of such raw emotion you can almost feel the raindrops on your skin while listening.
About the song’s lyrics and meaning, Vasquez had this to say:
“It’s about my constant turmoil I put myself through. “It Kills represents my constant struggle with making the same mistakes in order to feed my desires,”
Vasquez continues, “A continual battle with the conscience. Some inspiration comes from a quote by William Blake: ‘Those who restrain desire do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained.’”

The Soft Moon will be on tour staring in February, including a month-long North American leg in the spring with the amazing electronic music act Boy Harsher, who released their Country Girl EP earlier this year.
