Landing there between your lips
Curved to launch a thousand ships
Bound to nothing
Going nowhere
Sweet Love Under Tyranny is a nocturne of neon-kissed bliss, a siren’s serenade whispered through the haze of LA’s twilight pulse. Her music, a beguiling cocktail of darkwave coolness, sleek Italo synth flourishes, and romantic decadence, soundtracks moments of yearning wherever they may arise. She knows intimately: passion validates existence.
Born from New York’s fashion elite and the glittering club kid underworld, her style blends aching falsettos with deep, primal growls, sculpting a musical elegance laced with seductive tension. Every track plunges into an alluring subterranean universe, a shadowy ballroom where refined danger and emotional rawness gracefully collide. Her lyrics speak in poetic tongues, invoking mythic visions and ceremonial whispers, each verse a deliberate invocation of feeling. Raised on a diet of New Romantic rebels, pop provocateurs, and esoteric poets, Sweet Love Under Tyranny wields vulnerability like armor, sharpening tenderness into strength.
On her latest offering, Sojourn, she dives deep into themes of companionship, liberation, and endurance. Myth and metaphor drape the record in vivid symbolism—feathers and flames, journeys by land and sea, transforming the primal into poetry. Love, in her vision, is boundless yet fiercely tethered, a duality both tender and tempestuous. The record champions steadfastness through turmoil, whispering assurances of undying loyalty and rebirth.
“Sojourn was written about moving out of the dilatant phase into commitment; an ode to the paradox that in the commitment you are freed, she says. “The echo of whispers from the night before, the curve of a lovers lips catching a glint of light bouncing off of their knife at the restaurant, the seeing that only the eyes of a lover can do…that sight which stirs the soul from a stage of “going nowhere (fast)” to it’s not even a question, “I’m going nowhere – I’m so here.” With the sight of love I become more present. That’s how when we fall, we really rise again.”
Sweet Love Under Tyranny invites us to surrender to the dance, to embrace vulnerability, and to find empowerment in the exquisite ache of connection. And Sojourn is an invitation to transcend, rise together, and endlessly reaching for the sublime.

Sweet Love Under Tyranny made her debut in 2021 with Love is the Law, a single that highlighted her unparalleled vocal agility, effortlessly soaring from celestial peaks to dark, compelling depths within a breath. Later that year, she collaborated with Kontravoid on his Faceless LP, co-writing the audacious, Freestyle-inflected track Maskerade, an anthem celebrating fearless metamorphosis. By 2023, Ombra International unveiled her collaboration with Sugar Rody, the Route 87 dub mix.
Her self-titled EP, co-produced alongside Matia Simovich of INHALT at Infinite Power Studios, is set for release in Fall 2025. The record fuses surgical precision with baroque futurism and visceral sophistication.
“Lilian Void wrote the instrumental and gave it to me to write the topline,” she says. “The initial composition conjured this shimmering, oceanic feeling, which became the primary image in the back of my mind while writing the lyrics. When I brought the demo to Matia, he transformed the track, energizing it with his masterful Synclavier programming, a much more driving beat, and elevating the hook to really embody the message I was seeking to convey. Coleman threw down the gated, rippling guitar, and everything began to coalesce quickly.”
Amidst a world hurtling toward self-destruction, Sweet Love Under Tyranny affirms matriarchy as a viable path forward, asserting beauty’s pursuit as nothing less than a divine necessity.
