I got all the lights on me
Blinded, I can barely see
Know that’s where I wanna be
Right here next to you in this crowded room
Greece’s Paradox Obscur drifts onto the dance floor with Lose This Feeling, a radiant rewrite of Armin van Buuren’s trance-soaked club anthem, reimagined through misty synths and melancholia-tipped vocals. Duo Kriistal Ann and Toxic Razor, classically trained meets electronic obsessive, conjure an analogue alchemy here, trading high-energy euphoria for a lush, languid daydream.
The band call it “an allegory for what one dreams of and would like to keep within oneself—the sensations and emotions created by life’s moments.”
Kriistal Ann’s vocals curl with wistful warmth, her voice wrapping softly around synth waves and drum-machine heartbeats. Razor’s hardware hums and pulses, a twilight conversation between circuitry and sorrow, layered and luminous, evoking smoky neon reveries.
The pair’s real-time recording philosophy blooms fully here: organic, immediate, alive. Machines breathe, melodies bend, rhythms shimmer in half-light. The frenetic edges of van Buuren’s original fade away, replaced by contemplative currents and graceful gravity. Lose This Feeling holds longing gently, dancing through dusk toward something deeper, quieter, and beautifully unresolved.
We dream, perhaps, not of grandeur, but of a hand brushing ours in passing, the hush of dusk settling over a windowsill, the way a child’s laughter rings truer than any doctrine. In the clutter of time, it is these fleeting, fragile sensations we long to bottle: warm tea, soft rain, the hush before sleep. Not to possess them, but to carry them gently within, like secret stars tucked into the folds of the soul. These are the quiet truths that tether us to meaning, to wonder, to one another. The sacred ordinary. The holy, human now. Director Sheng-Yang Su takes this mindset to another level with the lovely video for Lose This Feeling, with lush cinematography and poignant, human moments shown in fractured vignettes.
