Synthpop Duo Normal Bias Unveil Their Desolate Video for “Holy”

The NYC and Atlanta-based duo, Normal Bias, have mastered the art of a heartbreakingly beautiful song. Just before Valentine’s Day, Chris C. and Matt Weiner unveil the new video for their second single off the Kingdom Come LP, “Holy”—a tragic, yet stunning, song that helped give Normal Bias 2024’s album of the year spot.

Shot in an abandoned Christian amusement park, the video mirrors the melancholy of the song’s foundation with overcast skies and bare trees—its sorrow is searingly palpable. The mix of super 8 camcorders and cinema cameras accentuate the desertion of the mise-en-scene whose atmosphere feels anything less than holy.
