In the year of our discontent, 2021, when the world seemed to be gasping for air, The Litanies emerged from the shadows. This troupe of sonic explorers summon a hypnotic fusion of the modern and the dark, laced with tendrils of psychedelia. Their melodies serve as an entrancing incantation, spiraling into the abyss of paranoia and repetition, beckoning listeners into a realm where religion is introspection and the quest for self-knowledge.
Now, with the unveiling of their latest single, “Neon,” The Litanies explore the disquieting emotions and moments reminiscent of a dystopian science fiction film. Inspired by the seemingly endless pandemic days in the UK, this piece captures the isolation of working solo in a Bristol office, teetering on the brink of an uncertain future.

As if channelling the spectral energies of The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, and Jesus and Mary Chain, The Litanies also evoke the vibrant spirit of contemporary acts such as Fontaines DC, Idles, Ploho, Molchat Doma, and the psychedelic allure of The Black Angels.
Birthed as a trio, The Litanies’ members were seasoned musicians, each steeped in the subterranean currents of other underground projects. The year 2022 bore witness to their first musical offerings: “Karma Circle,” “Fear,” and “Resin.”
