Murphy’s Law…
On the day that he was supposed to open his 17 concert Residency in San Francisco, post-punk icon Peter Murphy was stuck at the airport awaiting his flight to Northern California causing him to unfortunately miss performing his debut solo record Should The World Fail to Fall Apart in its entirety.
We reached out to one of Peter’s representatives who informed us that flights from Los Angeles were being delayed yesterday to torrential rain and bad weather.
And the weather was bad indeed, as a flight to Seattle from LAX had to be turned around due to being struck by lightning—and the airport itself had lost power due to being struck as well—affecting several terminals and delaying flights.
This unfortunately was the fourth cancellation and delay involving the long planned residency, albeit only for the first night.
Despite this, however, Murphy was able to board another flight and is currently in San Francisco with the rest of his residency scheduled to continue as planned.
